UPG was first envisioned in 2009 as a new way to penetrate lightly exposed areas of the world to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The vision is founded in scripture based (Matthew 10:11, Luke 10:6) on the idea of finding a man of peace in one of these areas where evangelistic and discipleship ministries can be launched with the goal of making and maturing disciples of Christ who are devoted to obeying His teachings as found in scripture. We have now implemented this approach in three countries; Kenya, Nepal and South Sudan.
